Series: The Hollow #3
When he shall die,
Take him and cut him out in little stars,
And he will make the face of heaven so fine
That all the world will be in love with night
And pay no worship to the garish sun.
–William Shakespeare

The series tells the story of Caspian and how he finds his other half in Abbey. Caspian is a Shade. Abbey is a human girl. Shades have a person that will “complete” them. The Revenants are the people who help the Shades complete thisprocess. In this last book of the series, it tells of the difficult decisions that Abbey has to make and the struggles that she goes through. She has to decide what is important to her and what is worth risking everything for.

The Revenants – Kame, Sophie, Uri, andCacey – came to help Abbey die and complete Caspian. There is another Revenant, Vincent, who is everywhere that Abbey goes and wants to keep her alive. Abbey thinks this is odd considering he recently attacked her and is stalking her. Caspian, Abbey and the Revenants try to protect her from Vincent and discover what his motive for keeping Abbey alive is.

I really liked this series. It was something different than your normal YA fantasy novel. I especially like this final book because I felt that it gave you good closure on the story. There are not a lot of novels that will do that.
Abbey knows that Caspian is her destiny. Theirs is a bond that transcends even death. But as Abbey finally learns the full truth about the dark fate that links her to Caspian and ties them both to the town of Sleepy Hollow, she suddenly has some very hard choices to make. Caspian may be the love of her life, but is that love worth dying for?

Beautifully spun, emotionally gripping, and irresistibly romantic, The Hidden will leave you breathless
*The ending of this series. I cannot say what that is (or won’t rather).
*Nikolas and Katy and their whole story. I won’t go into specifics here, but it is good to read about them in this series. I love how Verday ties in literary references in with the story.
*I also like way you can see the different personalities inthe Revenants more clearly. You really get to see who they are.
*Caspian has a nickname for Abbey – Astrid, which means star. This is a romantic nickname for the couple.
*Abbey stays true to who she is. She continues with her perfume making throughout the whole series no matter what happens to her.
*I had to go back and re-read the ending of The Haunted to know what was going on at the beginning of this book because it had been so long in between the books in the series. It did not do a really good job of reviewing what was going on. It told you what was happening, but not WHY it was happening.
